Dr. Tilak Siyambalabitiya visited Faculty of Technology

Dr. Tilak Siyambalapitiya visited the Faculty of Technology and delivered a two-days lectures to Electro Technology students on “Energy and Future” related to the Renewable Power Generation Technology module.

Dr. Tilak graduated from the University of Moratuwa in 1982 and earned his PhD from the University of Cambridge, UK, in 1988. After ten years of work with the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) and the Saudi Electric Company (SEC) as the head of the Generation Planning Team, he established a consulting partnership. He worked in government committees to establish the pricing policy for renewable energy (2006), net metering (2008) and national energy policy (2019). The faculty is grateful to the resource person, Dr. Tilak Siyambalapitiya for his excellent and informative lectures, which were beneficial to the undergraduates for comprehending their research works and for stepping up their careers.
