The surveying camp is an annual academic programme of the Department of Engineering Technology for the construction specialization students. The first camp was organized at Uva Management Development Institute (UDMI), Badulla, for eight consecutive days from 2nd-9th February 2019. During the camp, the students were given a vast area to perform engineering surveys, followed by the design and calculation works to solve real construction projects in the area of URY Estate, which is adjacent to UDMI. This was a wonderful opportunity for future technologists to get hands-on experience in surveying. There was a friendly gathering and a campfire on the last night of the camp. The faculty would thank the administration and staff of UMDI, Badulla for their commitment and support.
